Acting for Auditions I    Acting for auditions is vastly different from acting in a play. To be successful you must learn how to market yourself and this is the last thing actor’s work on. This 2-part workshop focuses on giving actors their most uniquely powerful audition package; reversing the power structure, owning the audition and discovering joy in the audition experience. Molly will give each participant simple, direct tools to get immediate insight to creating the character which can then be applied to any text.  Actor’s will develop their entire audition presentation; from preparation through entrance, through performance and through the exit.
Sat - Oct 3 - 10-4pm
 Resident $60 / Non-Resident $72

Acting for Auditions II
Actor’s will develop their entire audition presentation; from preparation to the entrance, through the performance and through the exit.  Each actor may work on up to two pieces and the day will be spent working on the audition.
Instructor can provide guidelines for selecting pieces upon registration or assistance in selecting great pieces with early registration.
Prerequisite: Acting for Auditions I
Sat & Sun - Oct 3 & 4 - 10-4pm  Resident $120 / Non-Resident $144

Building Your Repertoire
As a casting director and director, Molly rarely encounters actors with enough material, appropriate material or monologues that really showcase their unique gifts.  When a director asks for a different monologue, you must be ready. Most actors are ill prepared and lack sufficient material. Actors will be provided the necessary material and coaching to build their repertoire so that the basics are covered. What is “contrasting” and how can your repertoire reflect that?  Advance registration is required so the instructor can research and provide monologues for the participants.  Actors will get a new monologue every class, resulting in a well-rounded repertoire of 4 pieces.
